Lake Gaston North Carolina Weather
Lake Gaston weather is some of the finest in the state of North Carolina (and, the nation, for that matter). It’s a little slice of heaven because it has something to offer for everyone, depending on the time of year.
Lake Gaston is a manmade reservoir of some 31.7 square miles, with a maximum depth of about 95 feet. Here, anglers find all sorts of species, including largemouth bass, bluegill, striped bass, blue catfish, walleye, and more. Plus, Lake Gaston also boasts really great weather.
Lake Gaston weather is much like one would expect for this region of the country. Summers are warm but remain mild, while winters can bring fresh, downy white snow. July is the warmest month, on average and January is the coolest, by contrast. The rainiest months are July and August, while the driest is November and December. Here’s a look at Lake Gaston weather, season by season:
- Fall. During September, October, and November, daytime averages run from 82 to 64 degrees. Meanwhile, overnight averages range from 59 to 39 degrees.
- Winter. From December through February, daytime highs range in the low to mid-50s. Overnight lows run between 28 and 33 degrees.
- Spring. March through May sees daytime averages of 62 to 79 degrees. While at night, temps drop between 37 and 54 degrees.
- Summer. The summer months of June through August average 86 to 89 degrees during the day. Overnight, temperatures range from 64 to 68 degrees.
As you can plainly see, Lake Gaston weather makes it all the more delightful.
